We have the most amazing and perhaps longest lasting Girls Night Out group EVER !!! I don’t know WHEN these ladies started meeting once a month for FUN but I started with this company in 2001 and we are still going strong !!!
Each month, our fearless leader, Mary, selects a new location with happy hour pricing for drinks and/or menu selections. The email goes out to the ‘regulars’ and we get to experience this new restaurant/bar/grill.
For the month of March, which was actually our first time together since the Christmas party in December, (January we had to cancel due to bad weather in Kansas City and February we GOT TO CANCEL since our amazing Kansas City Chiefs WON the Super Bowl – so of course, a city-wide parade ensued) we met at Strang Hall in downtown Overland Park. Strang Hall has adopted the ‘collective’ style of dining, complete with six restaurants with various chefs and a HUGE variety of menu options. The automated system to order food via the QR code is not yet up and running but each ‘area’ is its own entity and you pay as you order – and then a text message alerts you when your food is ready for you to pick up.
As you can see by this photo, our March Girls Night Out was a HUGE success and each lady TRIES to order something different from the others, so we can sample so many more food items. The Happy Hour drink menu was a hit with our regulars, too !
