Many times, when a New Year begins, or even a few days before, some people make resolutions. The proverbial New Years Resolution is a time-honored tradition that some like and others avoid in a big way.
With every newly created habit comes the potential that there could be a day for that attempt to come to an end, thus Quitters Day. This is usually recognized around the middle to late part of January, as many New Years Resolutions have fallen by the wayside by the 20th or so.
