The reason you may have ‘heard’ this title before is because it IS one of the Chapters in my book, “Networking On Steroids” !!! When you NEED to Network to grow your business or you WANT to Network to make new Connections, WHERE you go for Networking is always a question.
Most groups allow a visit or two before commanding that you sign on the dotted line. That is the best news of all – visit a couple times to see if the energy in the room SUPER CHARGES YOU or if it leaves you drained and unfulfilled. Are the members and guests full of enthusiasm or is the air leaking out of their own balloons ???
The cost of an organization may also be a way to determine if you have found a great group for you – a group with a pricey membership fee may weed out the people who ‘cannot afford’ your product or service; a low-cost fee may be just what the doctor ordered to give you the launching pad to learn the do’s and don’t’s of effective Networking.
Any group works if you work the group; where you choose to align your time may depend upon the day/s of the week/month the group meets, the location, the time of day/night … Visit as many groups as you can and as many times as a group will allow without monetary commitment. This will allow you to determine the best chemistry fit for you and the product or service you offer.
