In the Kansas City Metro area, for example, there are SO MANY Networking groups. Other cities I have visited have far fewer. Does this mean your business will suffer, or at least not rapidly thrive ???
If you live in a well-networked area, and you have visited, AT LEAST TWICE, the Networking groups within your 50 mile radius, then perhaps it’s time you start a group yourself…not an easy task, to be sure, and to some, rather daunting, but well worth it as you will be a Connecting place for many of your prior and FUTURE business associates and friends and clients.
There are many ways to search out what TYPE of group you wish to start, but suffice it to say, having the NEW PERSON in mind will benefit everyone. If everyone is blessed with effective Networking skills and everyone is blessed with a dynamic background of professionalism, you are all set…if this is NOT the case, a bit of education at each of your events may be the perfect place to start as far as ‘introduction’ to the newest organization in town.
Remember, any successful Networking organization has a leadership team (you just cannot do this on your own) that ROCKS when it comes to edification and ROCKS when it comes to welcoming new members and guests. There are many ‘templates’ out there, so find one that resonates with your style and your desire to help others succeed…and you will be well on your way to a spectacular Networking group.
