There Is Always A Silver Lining

Death is probably one of the most uncomfortable subjects we could talk about but I am here to offer a platform for just such discussion.

In April 2017 my Coach heard my ‘story’ and prompted (strongly suggested) that I write a book about some of my toughest and loneliest times. I have experienced the deaths of many of the people closest to me and she was intrigued by my attitude and ability to stay upbeat and positive in the midst of chaos and trauma.

My first book, “Networking On Steroids” was written in 2012, documenting some of the things I have learned during my Networking events, full time, since 2008.  I submitted this book on amazon and have had great results with spreading the word about effective Networking tips – HOWEVER, amazon does not give a list of WHO has purchased my book. I understand the proprietary reasons for that policy BUT for my ‘cloud’ book, I wanted to have/offer interaction with the people who have made that purchase.

SO after the prompting of my Coach, April 2017, by July 1, 2017 (YES, basically 2 MONTHS!!!) my second book was published “He Hit The Clouds Running……and never looked back…” She also ‘suggested’ that I email her, by Monday morning of that next week, a list of 25 “What to Say and What NOT to Say” when someone has died, again from my own experiences. UGH – I love to be told what to do – but alas, the assignment was proposed.

I now offer ‘training’ via a teleconferencing platform called Zoom to people all over the Country to open the door to share their own death, dying and survivorship experiences. I also have available the postcards to anyone who asks and a copy of my book, if requested. (I did not put this one on amazon since I don’t get that all-important list of who has purchased, since this is such a personal sharing).

We are all in this together, as I have found, and sometimes just sharing with each other is helpful and perhaps even, therapeutic. I learned that There Is Always A Silver Lining.

Cathy Weaver

Cathy Weaver began Networking full time in June of 2008, when she founded her Miracles With Water company. She started Networking all over the Greater Kansas City area and was soon referred to as a ‘Master Networker’. Her involvement in these groups over the years has actually awarded her designations such as 2012 Volunteer of the Year for the Olathe Chamber of Commerce; a four-time Bartlett-Olson Membership Achievement Award Recipient; and Cathy was voted into the KC Magazine’s 2013 Class of Most Influential Women. In 2018, Cathy was selected as the Kansas Women Business Advocate of the Year by the Kansas Department of Commerce. With the success of her Kangen Water business, dba Miracles With Water, Cathy also found the time to write 3 books: "Networking On Steroids" published in 2012, "He Hit The Clouds Running...and never looked back" published in 2017 and "Networking On Steroids PQ" published in 2020. From #water to #networking to #grief and beyond, Cathy may be that person YOU would like to have speak to your group, virtually, of course.
