Let’s examine the cost of Networking !!! Many organizations have membership fees/dues for the people wishing to join. THIS is the clue as to the success of the group. If you attend a FREE group, most likely the attendees will not be the referral partners you may need to catapult your business to the next level. If you attend a tried and true organization, one that is National and/or one that has the success of the Community in mind, your chances to meet people who will eventually become clients are much greater. Many groups and organizations offer a ‘visit’ or two to check out the format and the members and guests before deciding if you will join. By the time you attend many of the events all over your own town, you will have made several contacts. These may be the people who may also help be part of the deciding factor on which group may be a great fit for your business, and certainly for your skill level. Don’t let the cost of the group be the ONLY basis on your decision to join or not.
