There are MANY ways to 'network' and many ways to get from Los Angeles to New York !!! That being said, each person needs to find his or her own style. The techniques in this book offer a variety of what could work for you or your staff or your team on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. Everyone Networking event is different, too, although each usually offers a basic format; open remarks, infomercials, guest speaker, closing remarks, door prizes. The people who attend as members and guests are the reason for success (or failure) of any Networking groups in your area. Be sure to attend a time or two before joining any organization so you can get a feel if the group is a good 'chemistry' fit for you and your company. If you are considering membership, bring along a friend or colleague so you can validate your reaction to this room, especially if there is a large fee for joining.
