Whether you are a speaker and a trainer, or a Networker, or a jobseeker, writing the Bio may be critical to your obtaining your next gig. There are technical ways to do this but for me, writing in the 3rd person works best, because when I am introduced in a meeting, the M.C. does not need to edit what is written; it is already IN the 3rd person.
Be sure to include awards and recognitions you have received – I know this may be uncomfortable and feel rather braggadocious but the organization that will be reading your bio needs to know your qualifications.
Do you have your bio on your website? Do you send a bio or a promo page when someone requests to get on your schedule for a presentation? Be proud of your accomplishments and a well-done biography will be a great way to let people know what you are made of.
